Totally different product, not even close to the description, pic, or review pics!! Super fake printed dot pattern, thin cheap sticker that is stuck more to the package than it ever will to the tank. Package is branded as "Lethal Threat"? Reporting this to Amazon and seeking a refund. Buyer beware. I'm sure the real progrip tank pad is great. This just isn't it.

This is a good product that stays on the bike and doesn't peel up. I installed this on my 2007 Kawasaki 500r and it looks great. It stays in place even while getting hot in the sun or dowsed with rain. It was easy to put on, I just peeled off the backing a little bit at the top, lined it up and put it on. I have had it on all summer and it still looks like new. I have washed the bike many times with it on and it has not affected it at all.

Pros:
- Looks Nice
- Stays in place
- Protects bike from scratches
- Easy to install
- Does not peel up

Cons:
- Not sure how to take it off when the time comes

Product itself is not that bad, it sticks good and look like it will hold, but my issue is product description - dimensions to be precise. It's clearly marked by seller in Technical details: Product Dimensions 11 x 7 x 0.2 inches . These are dimensions of the PACKAGE. Product itself measure 5.5" long end; 3" short end and 7.5" length. Who needs to know what is size of the box you are shipping your stuff?! I could buy same product for much less somewhere else, but I chose this one because of listed dimensions. I could't return it because kid already opened it to see how it look.

I used it upside down to make the wider part closer to wear my jacket zipper hits the tank. The writing is in white like another reviewer said. The curves of the tank on the 2017 ninja doesn't really work for the shape of this so I'm glad I was planning to use it upside down anyways. The photos show how glossy it is against my matte tank, very shiny but the "carbon fiber" pattern does look real and not cheap pokedots the lower prices tank pads look. I had to lightly stick it on and peel it off a couple times to get it as centered as possible, I didn't do any measuring or taping before hand bc I just don't care that much about making it perfectly centered but we did use a degreaser to make the tank surface clean before hand. My package came with no instructions.

Installed this on my 2013 Kawasaki Z1000. Prepped the surface by wiping with rubbing alcohol first, and applied it at around noon under direct Arizona sunlight, which probably helped make the "hard resin" tank pad a lot more pliable and easier to manipulate. While the adhesive does allow you to pull it up and reposition it over and over again as needed - yeah, I'm a little bit OCD and wanted it to sit RIIIIIIIIGHT in the center, so lining it up just right took a few tries - it also still manages to hold VERY securely and doesn't accidentally peel off (so far). Takes a pretty deliberate effort to try to pull it off.

Not crazy about the "grippy" feel of it, though. I bought this to PROTECT the top of my tank from zipper scratches from my jacket, and I can't see how it would be necessary (or even possible) for the sticky, tacky feel of this pad's surface to be in any way useful - that's a job for the rubber tank pads on the SIDES of the tank, after all. But if that's a "must" feature for someone out there ... well, there you go. It's "grippy" as advertised. But at least it doesn't get in the way or anything for me, so ... total non-issue. Overall, it's a pretty good deal for the money.

Looks great! I didn't like the typical install...so went a bit rogue and put the sides strips down next to my knees.

The pic is from my 2002 ZRX1200R.

I bought this to replace my old tank pad(different style). It looks amazing and is outstanding quality for a tank protector. It says it’s made in Italy which I didn’t realize when I bought it. Take your time removing the old one and cleaning the tank really well before applying. Use a hairdryer to make applying easier as well.

So far I love this product. The tank portion protects my tank from my zipper or other items if I decide to lay close to it and the adhesion was great and in over a year still looks brand new. The tackiness is good and does help you grip the tank on the top and wherever you decide to place the side pieces. I placed the side pieces on the side of the tank to increase leg grip. My only complaint would be that I would prefer the side pieces to be slightly larger but this is basically a non issues and a very minor complaint. The picture makes the product seem quite a bit larger than it really is but for my Ninja 650 and ZX10, this is not an issue at all, just something to be aware of. Overall, I would definitely purchase this product again and highly recommend it.
